Geopark Artists Launch kickstarter campaign for their Radio Dreaming Pod Tour

In the summer of 2011 Contemporary artists Anna Keleher (Devon, England) and Claire Coté (New Mexico) spent 40 days and 40 nights kayaking, cycling and dreaming their way through Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark in Eire and Northern Ireland. Inspired by the the people, places, creatures and things of  these cross-border homelands Claire and Anna have woven a series of 6 radio episodes  for community and art radio stations the world over.

“We love radio and it is the perfect way to  share our adventures with people whoever they are and wherever they may be, in their cars, homes and workplaces,” says Anna.

In April-May Anna and Claire will be touring their Radio adventure in their custom made “diddyvan”. Rolling up at village squares, beauty spots and isolated cottages in their shiny Place-Dreamer pod they will likely attract  a lot of attention from passers by and visitors.

“We’re really excited to be taking Radio Dreaming back to its place of origin. This is our first Radio Dreaming Pod Tour so it seems the natural place to start and Marble Arch Caves Geopark has a special place in both our hearts, its has amazing biodiversity and the people there have been hugely receptive to what we are doing.”

Project participants include experts, musicians and holiday makers who have shared  their local knowledge, music and wisdom. The Radio Dreaming Pod Tour is Anna and Claire’s way of saying a Big thank you to the people, rivers, caves, lakes and bogs of Marble Arch Caves Geopark. Though the files were mostly recorded in on location at the Geopark the content of our Radio Dreaming episodes has the universal appeal of myth.

The public and previous participants will be invited to share a pot of tea and to climb aboard to listen.

Claire and Anna are mounting an online crowd-funding campaig to help them raise further funds so they can  launch Radio Dreaming in homeplaces around the globe.

Anna and Claire’s 6-part Radio Dreaming series is now broadcasting via community  and art radio stations  world-wide.
